Sarah has worked with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH), an independent, not-for-profit research institute, on an ad hoc basis for several years.

UKCEH’s scientists provide the data and insights that researchers, governments and businesses need to create a productive, resilient and healthy environment.

Sarah has helped the UKCEH team raise awareness of their scientists’ expertise through UK-wide media relations.

Work includes highlighting urban creep in Edinburgh, announcing a new artificial intelligence system that could help track invasive plant species in the UK and warning dog owners about blue-green algae.

“I feel like Sarah is an extension of our team. I can call on her to support when we need that extra pair of hands. She understands our science, is able to quickly pick up the thread of an often complex story and advise on what will and won’t work for the media. She works well with our scientists and stakeholders alike and I would definitely recommend her to other scientific organisations.”
